Like any business, one of the key components of
our success is the team of dedicated poeple who work to bring you the Salvare
range.
 Bev
Nathan - Co-owner
Bev is a Director and Co-founder of Salvare. Having worked with husband
Steve in their previous software business she is enjoying the change of pace.
Bev brings a creative eye to
the business and is responsible for the rustic design of the retail space.Wanting a label design that was distinctive and one that didn't look "computer generated", Bev chose the artworks of Lisa Matthys which
give Salvare its "Art of Wine" theme.
Bev is
also responsible for the range of Hawkes Bay produce, artworks and ceramcs sold
through our tasting room.
 Elise
Montgomery - Our Winemaker
A chance meeting through our
respective daughters while living in Auckland, lead to a friendship with
respected winemaker Elise Montgomery, which has extended to us working together
now that we are both living in Hawkes Bay.
Elise has a wealth of winemaking
experience having worked in several of the world’s winemaking regions. She has
spent much of this time working in Hawkes Bay for as winemaker for wineries
such a Vidal Estate, as well as consulting to wineries in Hawkes Bay and
Wairarapa.
 Julie Boyes
In addition to helping in the tasting room Julie runs the office and looks after our admin.
Ted Bugden They say that good wine is made in the vineyard and if that is the case then respected Viticuture consultant Ted is a key part of the team.Ted has vast viticulture experience in Hawkes Bay with a focus on the production of premium grape crops.
 Ben and Matt
If we had a cellar, Ben and Matt would be our cellar rats. In the absence of a cellar they look after the vineyard under Teds guidance. Both, new to viticulture, they are learning everything from replacing posts and pruning to harvesting, leaf plucking and thinning.
Zoe - Zoe is in charge of meeting and greeting customers.
